Chris Rice was born & raised in Jacksonville, Florida until moving to Tallahassee, Florida to attend Florida State University where he majored in Theatre and met the love of his life, Jessianne. Acting inspired him by the possibility of being someone different with a different job or life everyday.
The natural progression after graduation was to migrate out west to Los Angeles, in addition to trying to jumpstart an acting career, he starting working in Real Estate. He started a company that took equity investors and put them into separate limited partnerships that offered an aggressive preferential return. Next Chris started producing Theatre and after a few successful plays under his belt it was time to start producing what he truly loved... films.
He knew that he would have to start small but no matter how small he wanted to have a lot of fun telling these stories. He didn't want to raise any capital from outside investors for the first film because he believed in the script and his partners' abilities to tell this story. This investment paid off and so far their first project, Dartsville, has won eight awards at five film festivals around the country. Including Chris taking home "Best Actor in a Short Film" at the Playhouse West Film Festival in Los Angeles, California.
Chris is currently producing and starring in WGF's next short film, Skylight as well as developing other projects.
